4 weeks
Adele will be celebrating her 1 month birthday on the 24th April. Grandma is here for 2 weeks helping mum, dad and her little grand-daughter. We are very greatful for her help and support. We all go out shopping, walks or have coffees. Here are a few pics of Adele and family.

Nearly 3 weeks have passed by. Adele is growing very quickly. It is amazing to see how quick babies grow in such a short space of time. Many of you have asked us how we came up with the name 'Adele'. Well, we were surfing on the internet and found a French website with french names and the name 'Adele' came up. Her full name is Adele Maria (named after Dan's mother Marija).
We have posted a few more pics of Adele with her favorite friend "doggy". She always likes to play with doggy during her playtime. Also a pic of Andrew bathing Adele for the first time. Andrew is now relegated to bath time duties as Adele seems to enjoy bathtime with Andrew (no crying).

Adele arrived 4 days overdue. After an exhausting 24 hour labour Adele arrived at 4.12am on Saturday, 24th March 2007. Her weight was 3.35kg (7 pound 6 oz). The obstetrician needed to intervene during the labour with a forceps delivery after a failed vacuum suction delivery because her heart rate was slowing. This is why you can see a scar on Adele's forehead (but this scar will soon disappear in a few weeks time).
We are now all at home trying to adjust with our bundle of joy. At times it has been very trying and tiring but Adele has been worth it. We are taking it easy as Daniella is still trying to recover from the birth, but we have managed to go out for short walks and we even had our first trip to our local cafe for lunch.
We still have not decided on a second name but we will keep you posted.
